{"id":10247,"date":"2026-06-21T01:48:33","date_gmt":"2026-06-21T01:48:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/placedesnations.org\/index.php\/2026\/06\/21\/jeremy-clarkson-in-remission-from-prostate-cancer\/"},"modified":"2026-06-21T01:48:33","modified_gmt":"2026-06-21T01:48:33","slug":"jeremy-clarkson-in-remission-from-prostate-cancer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/placedesnations.org\/index.php\/2026\/06\/21\/jeremy-clarkson-in-remission-from-prostate-cancer\/","title":{"rendered":"Jeremy Clarkson in remission from prostate cancer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Jeremy Clarkson has announced he is in remission from prostate cancer, days after he shared he was living with the disease.<\/p>\n<p>During the latest episode of his show Clarkson&rsquo;s Farm, the TV presenter said he had been diagnosed with an \u00ab\u00a0aggressive\u00a0\u00bb form of the cancer in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview with the Times, Clarkson confirmed that follow-up testing two months ago showed no indication of cancer and that he is now officially in remission.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0I am without a doubt, officially, the world&rsquo;s luckiest man,\u00a0\u00bb he told the paper.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0It was an aggressive type of cancer. It could have spread, it could have gone into the pancreas, it could have gone anywhere, and that would have been trouble,\u00a0\u00bb he said.<\/p>\n<p>In a video shared over the weekend on the X account of his pub, The Farmer&rsquo;s Dog, Clarkson said: \u00ab\u00a0You will have noticed that I&rsquo;m not dead.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0The reason why I&rsquo;m fine is because the doctors caught the prostate cancer early, and they caught it early because I got tested.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>The TV presenter then encouraged his followers to get tested, and to not be one of the \u00ab\u00a012,000 people, men [who] die every year in the UK from prostate cancer\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to the Times, the 66-year-old said he now has regular blood tests to monitor his health and knows there is a 40% chance of those who have prostate cancer will get it again.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0I try to be positive. I&rsquo;ve decided to be one of the 60% who doesn&rsquo;t have a recurrence,\u00a0\u00bb Clarkson said.<\/p>\n<p>The former Top Gear presenter had spoken of his diagnosis and how a portion of his prostate had been removed as part of his treatment during an episode of Clarkson&rsquo;s Farm released on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>The programme ended dramatically with Clarkson in a hospital bed, telling viewers: \u00ab\u00a0If this is all successful, I&rsquo;ll see you for season six, and if it isn&rsquo;t, I won&rsquo;t.\u00a0\u00bb He signed off: Take care everyone.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Clarkson&rsquo;s cancer diagnosis came after a routine medical check in May 2025, according to the Times.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0This is why I have to say to everybody who&rsquo;s reading this, please, please, please go and get checked,\u00a0\u00bb he told the paper.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0It&rsquo;s not uncomfortable, it&rsquo;s not undignified. And it&rsquo;s a no-brainer. I did, and that&rsquo;s why I&rsquo;m sitting here talking to you 11 months down the line.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>During his interview, Clarkson said he had met up with former prime minister Lord David Cameron and restaurant critic Giles Coren, who have also been diagnosed with the disease, to discuss their health.<\/p>\n<p>The TV presenter&rsquo;s health had been a theme of the fifth series of Clarkson&rsquo;s Farm.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0We started season five with me in a hospital bed, and here we are at the end of season five and I&rsquo;m back in the hospital bed,\u00a0\u00bb he said on the programme.<\/p>\n<p>Before his cancer diagnosis, Clarkson underwent a heart procedure in October 2024, which saw him fitted with two stents to help prevent a potentially fatal heart attack.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jeremy Clarkson has announced he is in remission from prostate cancer, days after he shared he was living with the disease.
